Eid
it is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, Eid is an Arabic term meaning “festivity” or “celebration” while Fiter means “to break the fast” , On the day of the celebration, a typical Muslim family is awake very early and then after praying the first normal everyday prayer, is required to eat in a small quantity, symbolizing the end of Ramadan. They then attend special congregational prayers held only for this occasion in mosques, in large open areas, stadiums or arenas. The prayer is generally short, and is followed by a sermon (khutba). Worshippers greet and embrace each other in a spirit of peace and love after the congregational prayer. After the special prayers, festivities and merriment are commonly observed with visits to the homes of relatives and friends to thank God for all blessings
Eid al-Fitr
The Islamic Ummah celebrates two great occasions: Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr, and each Eid has its own delight. However, both Eids share several things, such as performing Eid prayers and visiting relatives.
Eid al-Fitr prayer consists of two- rak’ah`s , as for its time, it begins after sunrise for about a quarter of an hour, where the imam and worshipers say seven takbeerat in the first rak’ah, and in the second they say five takbeerat.
There are desirable sunan during Eid such as taking shower and putting perfume before going to pray, well dressed, eating before going to pray and going to the mosque from a certain road,and returning from different road.
There are many festivals of Eid and differe from one country to another, in terms of customs and traditions associated with this occasion, However, the most common can be summarized as follows: Wear clean, beautiful and new clothes. Prepare different varieties of desserts and cake.Decorate mosques, streets and houses, with beautiful and colorful decorations. Visiting relatives and neighbors, and sharing Eid greetings with them.

It is a day of forgiveness, moral victory, peace of congregation, fellowship, brotherhood and unity. Muslims celebrate not only the end of fasting, but also thank God for the help and strength that they believe he gave them throughout the previous month to help them practice self-control. It is a time of giving and sharing, and many Muslims dress in holiday attire
